Hal Bekemeyer

After graduating I spent one year at Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C., and then three years at Florida Bible College in Hollywood, FL. I married my high school sweetheart, Mary Ann in 1971 and we were wed for 30 years, having two wonderful children, before our divorce.

I have worked in numerous endeavors over the years including Real Estate, Marketing, Retail Management, Citrus Production and Pastor.

Met my current love Kathy on the internet in August 2003 and we were married in December of the same year. I have discovered that you really can get lucky the second time around! We retired in 2005 and have been involved with ministry, family and traveling since then.

We are summering in New Hampshire and are looking forward to the reunion in October.

Kathy passed on June 16, 2020.

Married Marilyn, friend of eight years in June of 2021. We have done some traveling but limited because of pandemic. We are active still at church and are hoping to see some more of the world soon.

Trying to explain to Coach Lindsey why I didn't have my term paper to turn in. As a matter of fact, someone burned it. We were on the way to light heaters in the orange grove and I turned my Corvair over on Tilden Road. We flipped it over on it's wheels but one tire was flat. Someone grabbed my term paper from the trunk and lit it on fire for light. Coach finally believed me when he saw my car in the parking lot - cracked windshield, dented roof, and oil all over the back-end from being upside down. He did allow it was the best excuse he had encountered up till that time and gave me a few days to redo it.
